Certified nurse midwives provide holistic, evidence based, patient-centered care focusing on natural birth processes and minimal intervention. Obstetricians are medical doctors who specialize in pregnancy and birth, typically handling high-risk pregnancies and surgical interventions. When needed, our midwives work collaboratively with physicians to ensure you have the best care for your specific situation.
The short answer is no. Midwifery care associates is out of network with all insurance providers, except Tricare Select. For pregnant clients, we submit a bill to your insurance during the postpartum period if you have out of network benefits. For well-women appointments, we will provide you with a receipt for submission to your insurance. All labs and other testing is billed directly to your insurance company.
Our midwives attend home births in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, within an hour radius from our office in Pennington, New Jersey. Hospital births are attended at Capital Health Medical Center in Hopewell, New Jersey.
